slow wireless connection

i'm noticing that my wireless connection in ubuntu is much more slower than in windows. is there a way i could speed it up?

try feisty fawn (ubuntu 7.04). it has better wireless networking support out-of-the-box than previous releases. other than that i dont know much about wireless

well i wasn't planing on changing versions now, but if i don't notice my connection getting better, i guess i'll have to change. or i can just wait for its release. any more ideas on this?

also, i'd like to know how do i get gtkwifi starting and connecting automatically when ubuntu starts.
