xubuntu rt61 module

xubuntu rt61 module?

as of my understanding, a rt61 module comes with ubuntu dapper drake, so all you have to do is activate ra0 under the network manager. does xubuntu edgy eft come with it too? i mean, can i expect to see a ra0 under network manager in xubuntu? and if so, can i then configure it like with iwconfig like i did in ubuntu dapper drake? thanks.

it appears that the rt61 driver in xubuntu edgy 6.10 is broken.
