artifacts on blue colors with ati proprietary driver
has anyone else had artifacts show up in certain colors of blue after installing the ati protietary drivers? i assume it is the crappy drivers. i could not get the radeon drivers to work, so i had to use them.
yeah, i have had that problem before as well with the fglrx driver. the only way to resolve it is to get the latest driver with the latest kernel, etc. the easiest way to do this, would be to update to the feisty fawn beta (been using it with the ati restricted driver flawlessly) or to try and find it elsewhere (compile from source).
did you have trouble with fan speeds being too fast? i was thinking of installing feisty, but wasn't sure how stable it was. i downgraded from edgy to dapper because it was too buggy, but thats been a few months ago.
