xine menu transparent compiz beryl

Category: Ubuntu-Desktop Environments

im using 6.10 and installed beryl, then switched to compiz then decided they were not stable and went back to a non accelerated desktop. i removed the nvidia beta driver and reinstalled the stable driver.

now to the problem:
ever since i installed compiz / beryl the xine control menu is transparent and unusable, its drawing the buttons on it to the screen but not the background. i tryed to reinstall xine. no avail. any ideas? i have rolled out all the compiz / beryl changes. i have not removed the packages though.

i have pretty much the same issue. when i went to a gnome desktop session it seems that the controls display properly. i am still currently troubleshooting this issue to find a solution for it to work in an xgl session.

does xine have a plugin for dvd menu support?

it would be nice to have something like powerdvd or intervideo dvd on linux.

thanks in advance
